We are pleased to host the Austria 2026 Embodied Intelligence Robodog Challenge at HTL Mödling and to welcome students, experts, and educa- tors from various countries to this pioneering international event!
Our future is already being shaped by robotics, AI, sensor technologies, and autonomous systems. At HTL Mödling, we are preparing young
people with the skills necessary to thrive in the digital, technology-driv- en, and interconnected world of the future. This competition is not only about technical precision but also about innovation, problem-solving, and developing new ideas together.
We would like to extend a special welcome to our Chinese delegation
and their organizing team. Special thanks are also due to the Lower Aus- trian Board of Education and the Federal Ministry of Education, whose support and commitment have made this pilot project possible. This
initiative sends a strong signal of their support for innovative STEM and AI education and for international cooperation in technical education.

The Austria 2026 Embodied Intelligence Robodog Challenge marks an exciting milestone in Austrian education. As a pilot project initiated by the Bildungsdirektion Niederösterreich and funded by the Bundesmin- isterium für Bildung, this competition reflects our shared commitment to preparing young people for a world increasingly shaped by intelligent technologies — from autonomous robotic systems and sensor-driven
machines to AI-powered devices of every form.
The quadruped robot is our starting point, but the skills developed here — logical thinking, creative problem-solving, and collaborative engineer- ing — extend far beyond any single platform. We envision this challenge as the foundation of a long-lasting tradition, growing in scope and ambi- tion with each coming year.
My sincere thanks go to all organizers, mentors, sponsors, and accompa- nying teachers who have made this event possible. A special word of ap- preciation goes to the participating HTLs across Niederösterreich — your dedication in bringing your students to this stage is truly commendable.
